Comments: The sand also has cement whales and dolphins for climbing and sliding.
Play Equipment: The two structures are: 1) A Castle on a bed of rubbery floor. The castle has 2 slides, a mountain to climb, and a drawbridge going down to the "beach" The rubbery floor slopes down towards the sand which is in between the 2 structures. 2) The PRIATE ship! It has a climbing area, a hammock down below, and a slide. All the girls in our neighborhood call this the park the "Castle Park", and all the boys in the neigborhood call it the "Pirate Park". Pretty funny if you ask me! There's also a big field for pick-up games of kick-ball, baseball, or volleyball.

"Play is the purist, the most spiritual, product of man at this stage, and it is at once the prefiguration and imitation of the total human life,--of the inner, secret, natural life in man and in all things. It produces, therefore, joy, freedom, satisfaction, repose within and without, peace with the world. The springs of all good rest within it and go out from it." - Freidrich Froebel
