Comments:
This playground just about has it all! Great play structures that include 2 tall slides, 2 smaller slides, monkey bars, an over-head slide that kids grab onto with their hands and then slide from one part of the play structure to another. That was a big hit with the research team. Also the separate structure for playing with sand was fun for the kids. Play equipment in good condition and appears new. Huge grass fields to play on. Long paved paths to bike or scooter on. There is one downside to this playground: lack of shade near the play structures. There are picnic tables in the shade but not close enough to the play structures. There also aren't many picnic tables in the playground area. The research team suggests that you bring a large blanket or towel to put out on the grass in any shaded spot you want - this is especially handy if all the picnic tables are taken. Restrooms and waterfountains are in the Glassman Recreation Center building - use side entrance facing parking lot.
Play Equipment:
1 large play structure for older and younger kids. 1 swingset for older kids and 1 swingset for younger kids. Also, there is a play structure for playing with sand (can drop sand through tubes and see where it comes out, etc).
