Comments: It is very well maintained...always clean. Some parts of the playground are shaded ...lots of very tall pines around the edge of the playground. The playground is also surrounded by a fence. This playground was completely redone and re-opened in June 2004. This is in our neighborhood, so we go here often. Playground is great. Two "Drawbacks" are that it can get crowded on weekends when little league, soccer, basketball is going on at the rec. center. Also if the rec center is not open (example Sundays) the bathroom is also not open, although a portable is available.
Play Equipment: It has large play structure for ages 5-12 as well as a "tot" structure. It has four "big kid" swings and 2 "little kid" swings. There are ride-on animals (2), a fire truck to play on, monkey bars, and a small area for "rock climbing." Great play area! Has sand, but is the CLEANEST sand in a park that I have ever seen. Foam padding under much of the large climibing/slide play area. 2 baby swings, 4 big-kid swings (1 is under the padding, so it is low to the ground for smaller big-kids). Music drums, fire truck, climbing wall, riding airplane. Lots to do for all ages! Smaller climbing area for toddlers and a huge one for big kids. Park is completely encircled with a fence, so kids can't escape. Benches inside the fence, picnic tables outside the fence. Play equipment is so big, you can escape the sun by sitting under the bridges, walkways, or slides. Bathrooms are inside the Rec Center, so they are a bit out of the way, but cleaner than most public restrooms. Ball fields and grass park area surround the playground. Small parking lot, but street parking is available.
